tadarida flyout

Here's what the freetailed bats looked like as they flew out together at sunset. There were a couple of pulses of them. They seemed to collect in a central location under the bridge and then fly out together - this might be a way to deal with predation risk from the raptors we saw hanging around. After they flew out, we could see them massed in the air like huge clouds before they dispersed to find the night's meal of tasty bugs.
